One Year Ago:
- We had ZERO friends in Osaka
- We didn't have an office or Sunday service location
- We didn't speak the local dialect, famous for it's uniqueness in Japan
- We didn't have anyone to come to church, let alone a church gathering for them to come to!
- We didn't have a child
- We moved in to a naked apartment - no appliances, no furniture, nothing!
- We didn't know this city at all!
- We didn't know what God would do to help His church started!
Now:
- We have learned the basics of this city of 17 million (including the nearest Starbucks of course!)
- We have a great church office, and a Sunday Service location in the heart of the city
- We have met TONS of people - and many of them became friends, and some of them are becoming very close friends
- We have a hang of this crazy dialect, although it continues to make us laugh with its difference from regular Japanese sometimes
- We have a son! (That's enough change right there if you ask me)
- We are all settled into our place, and really feel at home
- We have a CHURCH that God planted and is growing by his grace, with 6 new Christians, and many people gathering each week.
All I can say is Thank You Lord Jesus
for the Grace you have shown us!
